Re: Implement Super Ultrawide support?
Yeah, buy SUW monitor and don't use best feature... comment logic 10/10. Oh man, do you know we are in 1-2% population that uses wider monitors than 16:9? The most of the world does not care about us :D I don't know why you bought 32:9 monitor but me for work. I prefer to keep as much as I need to ...

Re: Implement Super Ultrawide support?
I suspect the developers don't have super ultrawide monitors, so you would have better luck communicating with screenshots. It is easy to simulate ultra wide monitor - just change window size. On standard 4k 16:9 (3840x2160) monitor should be easy to simulate 32:9 with 3840x1080. Just use half of s...

Re: Would it be wise to not play Factorio on Steam?
I will share my experience as I'm playing Factorio both on Linux (Ubuntu 18.04 and in the past 16.04) and on Windows 10. It works same on both systems. However I did not create "true" megabase that could drop my FPS under 60. Maybe then there will be any difference. Oh, there is only one t...

Re: Just bought the game; What were Your first impressions?
Few millions players are playing this game and almost none of them complains about place where inventory/crafting window is. So it's not that devs didn't test the game. It's because small part of the players want to have it somewhere else. Edit: alternatively it could remember where such window was ...

Re: Dev earnings from direct purchase vs from Steam
I want to get this game and I've read that if you purchase from the website you also get a free steam key which must mean that regardless of where you purchase Steam gets a cut. Am I correct in assuming this? If so then what about Humble Bundle and GOG, are they more profitable for the developer? I...

Re: [FFF 260] Pipe junctions should merge, for reduced calculations
I see the trick users will use
All pipe long they will use single pipe junction without any pipes after them. So very long pipe will be a single one and tansfering fluids will be very fast.

Re: Electric Locomotives & Other Rail Cars
Electric Locomotives have performance issue because of moving train and checking it is still in range of electric poles? The solution is simpler than you think. Also it could be more CPU friendly than normal locomotives (more details at the end). Add new type of rails - electric rail (or even use ex...

Rather than use chests in the middle load into something 2 wide like a car or a truck tank. https://forums.factorio.com/download/file.php?id=30029 WOW, I didn't imagine that I will get answer to my issue so quick! Why I didn't come up with car/tank idea earlier? :( This solves my problem and my ini...

Re: Parallel train tracks with odd number of fields between them
@nijr, yeah, mod with larger containers is some kind of solution. I also used long inserters (pros is I can use two rows of inserters) in some cases but there is a problem when I have to filter what is exchanged - there is no long filter inserters and no stack long inserters :( There is also solutio...
