okay, I did upgrade to the new 0.11, and turned on bitmap caching...

The character is in the new design now, but unfortuntely the missing input backgrounds and image problem is remaining.

I tried changing the config ini per the graphics discussion in the faq section, but there was no "max size" option. I turned on multithreading, and the problem is less extreme... I can see enough to play the game, although there's still lots of missing graphics... so I'm hoping to get this problem ...

I updated my ubuntu 13.10 to version 14.x last night.

The image problem is still occurring.
