But to say that balancers don't matter..
If you are doing hardcore UPS optimization, you never build balancers. You can even put trains on a timer so they leave without being balanced.

Nuclear power is a hell of a thing lol I have a 4.8gw blueprint that takes up a fair chunk of space. But its super tiny compared to the amount of solar that I would need to replace it

The problem late game with belts is that for massive throughput you need massive belt lanes. And then most often you need to figure out how to balance those massive lanes. Where as bots can inherently self balance if setup correctly and have almost unlimited throughput by just adding more bots and ...

Hmm, I think the term Main bus is thrown around way to much. But really a bus system is just a centralized set of materials that are easily accessible. Everytime I open a save I had sheveled I think the same thing.
Was I drinking when I did this factory? Why is that train line there? Who in the hell setup that oil system. Etc etc

The actual reason for the thread was, copy pasting the same mining drill BP is what you do all game so there's no change, and hence no progression. And in my mind there's no progression because you only have 1 kind of mining drill. By adding more like the bucket wheel mod does you have to think more ...

Fusion reactors can't for physical reasons ever be net-positive at human-size scale.

I know this sounds odd but is there any way to heat water from ambiant(15Β°C)?

Would love to see atleast the personal chaingun as a parallel to the personal defense lasers maybe even a prereq for it.
The personal minlayer is interesting however you could just use the personal roboport for that.
