Does it work ?
Yes, it works!

I am not sure if the design is tileable to all sides, because power poles of different plants might connect to each other. I will try it out.

I also suggest one improvement to your description (which is already very concise):

If you want to use the power switch with the SR latch that only connects the plant to the main power grid when needed, you have to avoid any other connection between the inside power poles and substations to the ...

Problem disappeared after reinstallation, must have been a corrupted installation. Can be closed.

No seriously it is/was only reproducible with our combination of host and client. We had another strange font related error that disappeared after a re-installation, so perhaps the installation was broken and this error is ...

Multiplayer client crashes immediately after joining with strange stack trace. Reproducible.
  • Krastorio2 (presumably not guilty)
  • Sandbox mode + cheat mode
  • All recipes unlocked

I think I was misled by the Krastorio error message and in fact it has nothing to do with the crash.

There is one problem we need help with. A new fellow joined the group, he got his new spawn location, all fine. But he screwed up by not building a defense in due time, so he got overrun by biters and now his spawn location ...

It is a little javascript with 15 lines of innocent code. I submitted it to Kaspersky VirusDesk as a false positive. Not much more one can do I suppose.

Of course it's a false positive. The problem is not that I am afraid of a virus but that Kaspersky does not allow me to download the zip, and I am not an admin on that machine. I have found a way around it, but I thought it might be of interest anyway.

I am having a problem downloading theWindows zip for 0.15.21 - Kaspersky finds a virus signature in a javascript file:
