Re: Overriding base ore generation
in your data.lua you can do something like this data.raw["resource"]["copper-ore"].autoplace = { new autoplace stuff here }, data.raw["resource"]["iron-ore"].autoplace = { new autoplace stuff }, I tried it out and it worked like a charm, thank you Klonan! Not...

Overriding base ore generation
I have recently made a mod which adds a new ore and it works fine, but in my next step I want to change the base ore generation. I want copper, iron and coal to generate more like stone, i.e fewer ore "patches" and smaller in size, but I have no idea how to change the base once. I have pla...

Removing most/all recipes
Hello all, as the topic says, I want to remove most if not all standad recipes and start making a mod from "scratch", to be able to implement more things from the start without having to change everything. Right now I have no clue how to do this, but I am a beginner so, bear with me :D I k...

Sprite for stone furnace is invisible
Hello all, I have made my own sprite to replace the vanilla stone furnace sprite, I just wanted to see if I can get a working sprite with animation in the game. The problem I have is that the stone furnace is invisible with my sprite, but the furnace itself works fine, processing as it should. I tri...

Re: [0.9.2] car-type sprite sheet renders fully transparent
I know the thread is solved, but I have the same problem with a sprite I have created. I followed Yuoki's tutorial (https://forums.factorio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8755) I changed the base sprite for the stone furnace, just to see if I could get it in game, and the stone furnace works lik...

Re: x64 version crashes on startup
Yes I find it really strange too, since alot of my friends run about the the setup as I do, so yes, probably somthing very specific to my system/hardwere. I tried the x64 0.10.12 version and it worked! Both the installer and the zip package worked like a charm, so I guess it's something you changed ...

Re: x64 version crashes on startup
No I just get "Factorio.exe has stopped working"
I will attatch an image of how it looks like, and the log file.
I zipped the log file, it wouldn't let me upload the .log format

Re: x64 version crashes on startup
wow, quick answer! I have only tried the installer variants, but I will try the zip package once now.
I will write soon of how it went.
Edit: Tried the zip package too, but still the same problem :/ I edited the first post and wrote what versions i tried you were just too quick to answer!

x64 version crashes on startup
Hello, the x64 version of factorio crashes instantly as i try to start the game, no loading screen or anything. The x86 version works fine, starts and runs as it should. This problem exists no matter the factorio version, tried all of the 0.11.x without any progress. All my friends play the x64 vers...

I have experienced the same thing with games that have been going on for some time, and I wrote a thread about it yesterday, read it and try and see if what I suggests solves the problem!

[0.11.3] Multiplayer Desync Bug, with possible fix
Hello all! Me and my friends have been playing thing game quite a lot, but as soon as any game starts to have a lot of buildings in them, we tend to desync and we can't continue. This seems to happened around 10 hours into a game, when we start having serious assembly lines. (saved game around 35mb)...
