Re: Friday Facts #231 - Belt compression & Crash log uploading

Thank you for addressing the privacy concerns. It helped a great deal that you very clearly outline exactly what was being sent. By the way, I don't think you are the "bad guys", but I don't like the assumption that just because everyone else is collecting data, it's somehow perfectly OK.

Re: Version 0.16.24

My two cents: Please make the reporting opt-in. People tend to get very upset when data is collected on them without their knowledge. I know that in this day and age that seems a bit unrealistic, but you can help to be a part of the change.

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts

I think you could potentially make a lot of players mad if you removed bots or nerfed them too much. Perhaps you could add a starting condition which permanently disables logistic bot research/production in a particular save.

Re: [0.15] Uranium enrichment process

Hey guys, I finally had the time to start nuclear in my factory this weekend. So I tried to come up with my own Kovarex refinement process (without looking at other solutions first, to not spoil the fun) and the result was unexpectedly satisfying to watch :D I posted it on reddit yesterday and I th...

I like this. Very clean, strait forward design. I might have to build this.

Re: Artillery

I just noticed that the biters sometimes run away from my factory rather than towards it when I target their nests with artillery, particularly if they are far away. I feel kind of sorry for them :( I also tend to find bugs hanging around in random places after the artillery train leaves. Do they d...

Re: [photos] Factorio in real life

Where is this? This picture fascinates me! Where is this? What is it for? Who built it? Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. It's a 1986 photo of a ZIL plant's warehouse outside of Moscow. Back in 2015 some urban explorers went in and took more photos before the place got deconstr...

Number of Roboports in Circuit Network

When connected to a circuit network, roboports can list either the network's inventory or stats about the number of robots in the network. Both are great.

I would love to also be able to determine the number of roboports in the network.

Thank you.

Re: How to determine the number of roboports with circuits

Thank you Shobukai, tuplex, SeigneurAo, Escadin, and Aeternus for your responses. My intent was simply to just build a roboport adjacent to an existing network and have the number of bots automatically managed. Though the idea of having a constant combinator for each roboport would work, that would ...

Thank you for replying. I see options to view network contents and robot statistics but nothing about the number of roboports. Am I missing something?

How to determine the number of roboports with circuits

Hi Everyone! I have a question and I'm hoping you can help me. I'm currently using a circuit network to monitor the number of total logistic robots in my network and combinators to automatically start production when needed. Essentially, when the ratio of robots to ports drops below a pre-set limit,...

I love the idea of an artillery train. Very cool. One thing that I would absolutely love would be a flat car with mounted turrets front and aft. Something like this: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/73 ... 70b40b.jpg .
