Re: Friday Facts #347 - New hope demo levels
The New Hope demo levels/tutorial is fine, except that it begs the question of Backstory. Who was here before us? Where is/are they now? Can we locate/rescue them? If the Biters got so upset that they killed them, then why have the Biters calmed down again? What is the story of the Biters? Why are t...

Re: User Interface for "less abled"
That was from 4 years ago, and Rseding couldn't see the point then.
But now that Rseding has SEEN the light, perhaps the new menus and pop up boxes could ALL have this useful little feature?

User Interface for "less abled"
With all of the new UI popups, can I request ONE addition. Please add a Close Window X to the top right of EVERY popup.
I play less Factorio now as I often can only use one hand, and that is on the mouse. Being able to close windows with a mouse click would be a great benefit.

Re: Friday Facts #315 - New test servers
Oh my, that is your server room.... Ordinary shelving. Window open for cooling. No UPS, or are those the 2 boxea at the bottom. Come on guys you should be doing better than this. Former Network Manager. I forgive you so long as you keep producing such an awesome game. But server room... Airco, UPS, ...

Re: Friday Facts #309 - Controversial opinions
Re: Biters Before you do anything else with them there has to be some lore to them, to explain their illogical behaviour. Then perhaps some logical changes could be made. Let me explain.... this planet Nauvis has been home to the Biters for a long time. Yet when we get here they are NOT omnipresent....

Stealth Biters
TL;DR A new class of biters for later game. Chameleon Biters that can infiltrate your base. Only visible whilst they are moving. When still they look like a rock, tree, inserter, assembler etc. What ? I suggest a new late game development of the biters. Stealth biters. They should be able to sneak ...

So last week was Pitchforks and burning torches. Now this week it is all Festivities, celebrations fireworks and cheering. I thought this was Factorio, not Rollercoaster....
But hurrah, hurrah, hurrah... love all the changes mentioned today... 100% wonderful.

Re: Friday Facts #254 - No research queue for you
No research queue, just because it would require an occassional pop up to same.... Item A research complete. Please reconsider.... or the pitchforks will be in your air conditioning.. Now we will have to put up with constant pop ups of research complete.... please choose another. At least with a que...

Re: Making trains stop faster.
This seems to work with a 1-1 train..... but would it work with a 4-8-4 train..... I have seen those things plow through another train with no problem. Or does a sideways train offer more resistance.?

Re: [Solved] Can't change the data directory.
Pardon my stupidity, but I WANT to use the Zip version, becasuse I want to run different versions with different mod packs etc. But everytime I install anew version it somehow connects back to the mods and save on my primary version, which was installed by Steam. Does anyone know what config file I ...

Re: Friday Facts #238 - The GUI update (Part II)
As has been said already the yellow and orange are similar... but I think that their position will give away which is which.... we will get used to it. The Queue "button " on top of the item graphic is subtle I understand why Kovarex missed it. But again it is something that we would rapid...

OK, I did some basic clean up on the laptop, and the browser, and things are running a little better.
If it hangs again... it hasn't for a few days now, then I would like to resurrect this thread. Otherwise... Thanks.

Re: Lock up on loading
Sorry forgot to answer... laptop is permanently on the power cord.
What is the difference between the steam version, and the "direct from you" version? Since they are both on the same laptop, they seem to be accessing the same files, is there a way to seperate them completely?

Re: Lock up on loading
Tried this... On the Steam version it felt as if the general loading took longer but it is hard to be sure without timing it, and it varies every time.
