Good to hear no offense is taken.
I understand your point of view, luckily i'm not one of those that suffers from this (yet?).
Was just wondering if the lights are also a problem or could actually mitigate the issue.
Good to know developers are taking this seriously!

Re: [0.17.12] Crash on startup that killed my display drivers too
Hi there! Just took a look at this log, and it appears you are (still) running windows 7 service pack 1, is that correct? Also you have an AMD Phenom x4 with 16GB of memory. What is the speed the processor is running at? You seem to have 2gb of video memory, which i think is a radeon 270. As i canno...

No offense intended, but this has been like this as long as i can remember . . .
Do you have trouble with the day / night cycles too when having lights placed, which triggers a similar effect?

BUG? infinite ore without yields?
Hola! I'm slightly lost as to how the layout of the forum is, so i'm hoping this is the proper way to post something we're experiencing. Currently me and some friends are playing a multiplayer, aiming for a mega base fueled by trains. Now, since we want to have as much throughput as possible, we dec...

Re: [0.15.9] Server disconnects outbound internet
Can't wait to see if a new modem resolved your issues.
The 10. ip you submitted seems to be a non existant one, so is probably your external ip address.
which would in turn mean your modem is faulty.
Keeping my fingers crossed for ya.

also something that might help. when you use a macro mouse or keyboard, make sure the macro keys are empty or disabled when running factorio. i've had multiple occasions where i would press a macro key for another game and end up having to catch up the next 5 minutes as there is no way to interrupt ...

Re: Hosting server - windows [HALP]
Hello kaizo! since you added an edit, did you edit the log file as well? i can't determine. i know little of what you are talking about, but since you changed ip settings, might it be that the server file is configured for another ip address than the ip that is actually assigned? what leads me to th...

Re: [0.15.x] Severe lag and lag spike issues
Hmm, when you are playing and hosting at the same time, dropping game speed causes issues for other clients? Never experienced that, than again i always seemed to be the slowest player. i know loewchen submitted an idea that the gamespeed autoscales to the slowest player to prevent desync issues, no...

I completely agree, i thought the same, but it made the game playable for me.xBlizzDevious wrote:I'd also note that I shouldn't have to specifically downclock a computer to be able to play a game. The thought is just ridiculous!
The other alternative is to turn down game speed to say 0.8? just to see what happens.?

Re: [0.15.9] Server disconnects outbound internet
hola! Sounds like its an ISP issue or the internal chip of router / modem is getting overloaded. The other option would be that the modem / router thinks he's under a DoS and disconnects all internet acces due to safety features. Considering discord keeps running, the connection is not completely go...

Re: [0.15.x] Severe lag and lag spike issues
Hey Mate, I had similar issues in previous versions. What solved it for me is downclocking the server to under 3ghz. my sweetspot seemed to be around 2.6ghz, but that is with an AMD cpu at 4ghz for game pc. i'm expecting you might have a sweet spot a little higher. Try downclocking the server to 3gh...

Re: Experimental branch with SteamCMD?
Is the SteamCMD version identical to the headless version? Yes, the steam version is the actual version, as you specify in the update file which version you wish to download. It then checks which version you have and then downloads and updates the game in sequence (so from 15.3 to 15.6 you get 3x d...

Re: Experimental branch with SteamCMD?
level.dat doesn't come with Factorio, it's part of the savegame zip. Check if you can open the savefile with a graphical Factorio instance or try another savefile. funny thing, i have done that. it refuses to load up in the list of save files. However, when i do a clean 'install' from the zip file,...
