Yes, the AAI mod is the mod like was thinking of that uses biter ai for pathfinding, which is pretty clever as you can set mining vehicles to a set area and the biter ai has idle movement implemented. It's not a bad idea to utilise and possibly improve upon this ai for this mod idea

Wow, just found this thread after the Bots vs Belts FFF. Actually this is pretty good! Small self-driving cars could deliver goods instead of flying logistic robots. The benefit is that ground space is limited, thus ground logistic bots would loose their efficiency with numbers, and would not be ab...

Unless you got a blueprint, I dont think there's an automatic way to set up wires. You'll have to wire everything up yourself.

That isn't a mod I have installed, all the mods I downloaded from the in-game mod portal. Wait I did? *checks* doh! Wow, and I even previewed it before I submitted it. Hehe, thanks, it's fixed. As for uploading to Imgur, up in the top towards the left there's a button that says "upload" and you can upload to imgur 4 different ways. either by drag and drop, by url (Which is what I did :P)...

One thing I can see about that layout is the furnaces at the end will be a lower priority when it comes to coal. The first line will get half while the third one down will get like 1/8th. Other than that it's a good layout, I'll be sure to add it to the TDT

Keep in mind, part of the mechanics behind this limit the sorting to two items, any more and the sorting will not work quite like it's meant to. You can sort any number of items with splitters. True, but who wants to limit themselves when one can use both? If one or the other isn't up to snuff with keeping lasers powered during a bitter wave, it's not a bad idea to keep both at the ready :P
