Re: [kovarex] [2.0.14] Parameter system doesn't allow assemblers to select the empty barrel recipe
The fluid in the requester chest I had seen before and personally I find kinda funny and harmless. It's simple enough to just clear it if anyone is bothered by it imo. As for the main issue of having recipes that are processing recipes like the unbarreling recipe I have seen someone in one of the ot...

Re: [kovarex] [2.0.14] Parameter system doesn't allow assemblers to select the empty barrel recipe
So I checked the blueprint, and it all works as intended. The storage chest has [0] as filter, which limits this parameter to be an item, and there is no item "empty barrel" Yes, the intention though was to be able to select the recipe for emptying barrels as that's something you can do w...

Re: Version 2.0.7
A little late to reply to this changelong, but I have to say thank you so much for removing corpse despawn. I was stressing out so much when I had died on Gleba and it had my last combat armor on it /and/ my backup armor that I foolishly had on it. I can now return to my main base and restock withou...

Re: [2.0.13] Parameterized system doesn't work with Chemical Plant or Electric Furnaces
Looking through the suggestions page I did see that other people have been running into this issue as well, and from what they consider the issue, it seems just as likely the issue stems from the recipe and the output item not being considered separate items as we've discussed in the other thread. S...

Re: Parameter "Output of" variable
I second this. Especially when utilizing parameters to make streamlined bot malls. With how I have blueprints set up it makes it difficult to utilize parameters with anything that requires the selection of processing recipes like unbarreling and kovarex. It also prevents setting up crafting machines...

Re: [2.0.13] Parameterized system doesn't work with Chemical Plant or Electric Furnaces
So that does fix the issue, not sure why setting the parameter in the inserters to the same as the recipe doesn't work since p0 has ingredients. Might be an ordering issue on how the logic for reading the parameters is done. btw, updated to include the math used for the bot mall logic: 0eNrVlttum0AQ...

Re: [2.0.14] Parameter system doesn't allow assemblers to select the empty barrel recipe
Yeah it was the emptying barrel recipe, not the recipe to make an empty barrel with steel. Essentially being used to transport liquids with a bot mall. As for the solution that does make sense, might suggest then for Wube if this could be an option to set parameterized blueprints to include the emp...

Re: [2.0.14] Parameter system doesn't allow assemblers to select the empty barrel recipe
Yeah it was the emptying barrel recipe, not the recipe to make an empty barrel with steel. Essentially being used to transport liquids with a bot mall. The way I set up parameters was essentially to allow you to set a recipe and it would set the storage chest to filter the result and have the insert...

[kovarex] [2.0.14] Parameter system doesn't allow assemblers to select the empty barrel recipe
Parameter system doesn't let you select the empty barrel recipe in assemblers as shown in the screenshot below. https://i.imgur.com/qMSJmyT.png You can select the assembler to fill barrels but emptying them doesn't show up in the list when you have parameterized blueprints set up correctly. Blueprin...

Re: [2.0.13] Parameterized system doesn't work with Chemical Plant or Electric Furnaces
Follow up can also confirm this does not work with the Biochamber either. None of the parameter icons will attach itself to the parameter set in the Biochamber which is expected. Blueprint string below for a Biochamber version of the blueprints above. What is expected is parameter 0 being set to the...

[2.0.13] Parameterized system doesn't work with Chemical Plant or Electric Furnaces
With the introduction of parameters and using them to create blueprints with dynamic recipes, I've found that while it does work with assemblers it doesn't work in chemical plants nor electric furnaces. The electric furnace I've not been able to figure out a way to use parameters since you can't set...

Re: [2.0.10] Old blueprints set inserters to whitelist enabled
I'll keep an eye on any other blueprints that do this then cause this one is a version of TaxiServices' Bigass Mall (https://factorioprints.com/view/-LKP3u-fYMTzons91uit) that was updated for some version between 0.17 and 1.1. The thing is I can't seem to find the one I got from the site that has th...

[2.0.10] Old blueprints set inserters to whitelist enabled
I'm not sure if this is an issue with my settings or not, I'm currently playing Space Age vanilla, but I've been noticing that when I place blueprint from older versions like 1.1, all the inserters will be set to whitelist on by default, making all the inserters nonfunctional until I go through and ...

Re: Friday Facts #425 - Behind the legs
While reading about the search algorithm for leg placement, something came to mind when looking at the different patterns used and the solution used. Is the heading of the spidertron being taken into account with this search algorithm? Cause I can see an argument be made for a bit of extra efficienc...

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0
Honestly I welcome this change. Yes it's not realistic /in/ the pipes but the old system also was not realistic in how the pipes were meant to be used. Pipes are meant to bring fluids from A to B and split between directions because fluid dynamics. The old fluid system did this poorly, very poorly. ...

Please give a way to mute/ignore alert types we don't care about. I play with alerts muted because endless minor damage alerts seriously trigger me. I second this. I'd like to be able to have the option to turn off stuff like construction bots not having enough items to finish a job not flash const...

Re: Friday Facts #387 - Swimming in lava
I don't think a filter on a miner would be a good thing. Mixed ore patches offer a challenge that would get solved too trivially this way. There are ways to circumvent the clogging (splitter setups with priority input lanes). I fear adding a filter to miners would solve one of the few puzzle elemen...
