Re: Friday Facts #357 - Nuke

Love the new additions. The nuke still feels slightly underwhelming, and I think it's because the sound effect is over before the actual shockwave completes. It might make sense to add a longer rumbling sound to the animation? just 1-2 seconds longer than it is currently would probably be effective ...

Re: Friday Facts #332 - More sounds & Map color tweaks

Those new sound are really weird. Never really used combat robotics. but I never would expect them to sound like this.

As for the belts... They sound more intrusive than I can remember, and that's not a good thing.

Re: Wall and cliff angst

So even when it "connects" to the cliff like in the second pic, there can be a gap? I use terrain for defense very frequently but I forget if I checked for that. I do know that sometimes even when I bring the wall as close to a cliff as possible, there ends up technically being a gap ther...

Wall and cliff angst

TL;DR A visual connection between walls and cliffs to make sure you (or bugs) can't walk past it. What ? Just started up a new game to see what has changed in the recent half a year or so. I'm still using cliffs to aid in my defence. No need to waste more stone and turrets to defend some areas is n...

Re: Friday Facts #254 - No research queue for you

Like others said: Just make it an option in the options menu. That way you can please the experienced players without making it less fun to play for new players.

Re: Friday Facts #214 - Concrete rendering

That last picture is absolutely stunning! bonus points to whoever designed it. But the concrete does not look like actual concrete. It rather looks like a proper stone brick floor, not really the 'industrial concrete' you would expect in this game. I understand you don't want it to be completely fea...

Re: Friday Facts #196 - Back on track

If you want to be certain that the tutorials are understandable and paced for every player, get some 10-12 year old kids to test them. If they succeed, the tutorials are foolproof ;) Just half a day at a local school should do the trick.

Re: Friday Facts #180 - Map interaction

"Dude, where's my car?" Would be a nice feature in the map view. So many times I've lost my car and build a new one, only to end up with 10+ cars scattered all over the factory and a few more in storage chests somewhere.

Oh wow that version of MiloRK is both beautiful and very useful. I'll take that any time over a green overlay.

Re: Friday Facts #168 - Nightvision Nightmare

Why not pick the Fallout 4 way and let people pick their own colors for their huds/nightvision? With advanced enough science, it does not have to be a certain colour ;)

Re: Friday Facts #166 - Combat Revisit

Biters are a nuisance because: A) Once you've figured out the routine of attack, that's it. B) Going out and killing detracts from basebuilding (sometimes its good, but atm its a meh experience after having it done more than 10 times because it is repetitive) C) there's no variety in enemies You hav...
