Re: Bob's Mods - where's the salt?
Yeah, I'm running into that too. I go find out what I need, see what it entails on the wiki, then see if I have researched it. I'm finding more often than not that I have and the recipe doesn't exist, like with the salt beforehand. I think this game is a write-off, even after all the work I've done ...

Re: Bob's Mods - where's the salt?
EDIT: I did /c game.player.force.recipes["salt-water-electrolysis"].enabled = true on a guess, and it worked. but still, do you think I should just start again? :D
hmmm, now I seem to have the same problem, but with sodium hydroxide, particularly this recipe in the electrolyser : http://factorio ...

Re: Bob's Mods - where's the salt?
Did you use angels-petrochem on your save at all? if so you might have to re-enable the salt recipe
This "might" be what you need
/c game.player.force.recipe["salt"].enabled = true
Alternatively Angels Refining should have a salt water electrolysis 2 recipe that uses saline-water instead of salt ...

Salt and Water in a Chemical Furnace (the red one, possibly locked behind a chemical processing tech, should be red science)
If you have Angels Mods the recipes are different depending on if you also have petrochem installed.

Re: [Request] Filter small pumps
Apparently, with some careful engineering, it is possible to have a pipe network handle multiple liquids (but only one liquid at a time): https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=35683

Re: Selectively unloading train tankers (using rail tanker mod)
Following on from the latter posts here I took ALL your suggestions and implemented them :)
For towns with room I've now got dedicated stations for certain fluids. For towns where there is little room I've been more selective, there are some circuit networks going.

Bob's Mods - where's the salt?
Hello,
I'm playing through with Bob's mods, and now I'm stuck because I can't make salt.
http://kovarex.com/wiki/index.php?title=Salt_(Bob%27s_Mods)
I've got a chemical furnace, I've done ALL the red+green research. I can't see salt in there as a recipe. So I'm stuck :(

Re: Selectively unloading train tankers (using rail tanker mod)
Also, regarding barrells- I usually avoid them because I end up with empty barrells everywhere,
Trick is to limit steel barrel production with the logistic or circuit network.

Re: Selectively unloading train tankers (using rail tanker mod)
From a quick test it looks like https://mods.factorio.com/mods/Optera/Inventory%20Sensor should work with RailTanker. It outputs the fake fluid item from the tanker that's next to it.
This should allow to enable pumps only if a certain liquid is detected.

Re: [Request] Filter small pumps
I also think a smart small pump with a filter would be a good safety net to stop cross contamination within the piping system. It could be implemented whenever there is risk of your pipes mixing up.

Re: [Request] Filter small pumps
Pipes can only ever contain one type of fluid. So if you put even a tiny amount of water in a pipe, that pipe won't accept any oil while it contains water.
I understand what you mean. I think you are saying that I couldn't switch between things, because the pipe is already contaminated.

Um, someone else may need to try modding for this, this is haaaard.
Anyone got ideas about how this might be achieved using the circuit network?

[Request] Filter small pumps
I would like to be able to add filters to small pumps, even if just one filter, so the pump will ONLY pump that specific liquid. I've tried making a mod, but I honestly suck, I'll keep trying but I'm sure someone could do it way faster than I could (I may never get there!).

Re: Selectively unloading train tankers (using rail tanker mod)
You probably need to use barrels.
Greetings steinio.
Oh bummer, but you're probably right. :) This sounds like a workaround that won't break the town in the meantime. Plus, you can have inserters all along the rail car, rather than just in the middle-ish. So my platform would be more efficient ...

Selectively unloading train tankers (using rail tanker mod)
Hello,
When unloading a rail car you can use filter inserters to only unload what you need, how do you do this with rail tankers?
