Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion
Hi! Backfilling in the mods of Pyanadons on chernozem disappears. The soil is constantly growing. What can be done about it? This is very likely from a tailings pond filled with something yucky. Use tanks instead once you can afford them. Only way to fix that after the source is removed is a comman...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion
That works for a lot of animal pens. Probably all of them and all plantations, technically, though the latter usually also uses seeds or spores in the recipe.

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion
Mukmoux manure- I noticed that there is a lack of better mukmoux manure recipes amongst the more advanced mukmoux research options (iirc mukmoux 2, 3, and 4). Is this 1. intentional, and they will never have additional manure recipes 2. something that will be added with a big future update, 3. or so...

Re: Power options at green science
I've tended to find that hydrogen based combustion mixture, and coke oven gas, tend to be THE ways to go at green science. Coke oven gas just has sooo much energy density to it, though actually tapping into it seems to require an annoying amount of space and the gens ARE a touch expensive, while hyd...

Re: Amount of items to put in a closed loop
To uuse a closed loop and the logistic's system, you put the output-e.g. the empty barrel-into an active provider chest. It will then be taken to either a requester directly or a storage chest, where it will be pulled from before a passive provider Then, when making the "input"item, e..g. ...

Re: PyBlock (alpha)
Indeed, stone->tar is definitely your best goal, but splitting coal gas into tar and syngas is a useful sidegrade for your glassworks, as syngas has 2x the fuel value of coalgas (so you go from 10 megawatts of coal gas to 28 megawatts of syngas).

Re: PyBlock (alpha)
Hey, I've been trying to get into the modpack; I love pymods, I love seablock, I love spreadsheets! I've been trying to plan out earlygame, but have noticed that powering glass furnaces is a ***massive*** bottleneck (I cannot emphasize how little coal gas is produced early game relative to the coal...

so i did a look in the other syngas recipes: cal dust - NO I treat that one as a way of voiding my excess coal dust. Re: Finally got the big mines! Ooooh wait...
Ouch. Regolith is painful just because it gives iron ore and copper ore. Amusingly, that wouldn't be a problem for me, that would be a nice little bonus! Honestly, there's a big list of common solid byproducts for which you should probably set up a dedicated facility that sorts and handles all of t...

Re: [0.15.36] Deconstruction planner behavior
Y'know, in principle, it SHOULD be possible to make it work that way-when (ab)using the upgrade planner mod, if you tell it to replace "wood" with "deconstruction planner", it successfully deletes all trees highlighted, and sends the wood to your inventory.

Re: what i must to do with unwanted ore ?
Coke+co2 becomes carbon, which you can turn into carbon monoxide which you can flare stack.

Re: what the purpose thermal water ?
I use it extensively to create mineral catalysts. It is super important in my bases, pretty much on the same level as iron: once mineral catalysts stop, everything else stops and thermal water is my sole source of mineral catalysts. Just a quick note, you can use dirt water electrolysis to get infi...

Re: [MOD 0.15.x] pY Coal Processing
Oh, and I did some more playing around, and...tailings ponds DO void some gasses, especially flue gas (which is fortunate, becuase IIRC flare stack doesn't work on flue gas), but not all gases. Any particular reason for this? A fluid must be set as a gas to the tailing pond understand to void it. A...

Re: [MOD 0.15.x] pY Coal Processing
60 degree steam: this stuff is a pain to deal with. It won't get voided by most voiding items, and it won't go into a steam engine. You can use cooling towers to turn it back into water for closed circuits or use water elsewhere. :) Well, yes, that is an option... but when combining your mod with b...

Re: [MOD 0.15.x] pY Coal Processing
So... I don't know about a walkthrough per se, but some advice: You'll want to spend extra long in the burner-drill stage. You're going to need quite a bit of stuff to really set up even a hand-crafted batch of red science. You'll want a dedicated area for...basically anything that uses water as a m...
