Re: Is it possible to play Space Age with no enemies?
You can use the "no enemies" checkbox in the map generation screen. It turns off the spawning of the actual biters, stompers etc. so nothing attacks you, but the nests themselves still spawn so that you can obtain eggs.
Thanks, that's good to know. As is the "no pollution option", which I'd ...

Is it possible to play Space Age with no enemies?
In vanilla, I'd sometimes play with no biters just to avoid the stress of defending my base. As far as I can see, if I have biters off in Space Age, I'm locked out of biter eggs, which means no biolabs, no productivity 3 modules, and no promethium science. Which is a problem, but I can still get ...

Re: Pros and cons of mining/recycling scrap with quality
You can change the recipe on holmium solution production to use quality holmium ore
Ah! I didn't see that you could do that. That helps. Although I think just trashing stuff is longer term the better option. I'm just not sure I've accepted that yet - all those boxes of pistols, wood and burner ...

Pros and cons of mining/recycling scrap with quality
When I started on Fulgora, I assumed that it would be worth putting quality modules in my miners and scrap recyclers - all those high quality processing units :-) But I've found there's a problem. The one resource you can *only* get by processing scrap is Holmium, and the only thing you can do with ...

Re: Locking chest inventory slots
I haven't checked if that's true, but I've always assumed so and never found it to work differently.
I'm pretty sure I set up filtered chests but forgot to add general storage once, and the bots put something unexpected into one of my filtered chests. But maybe I'm wrong - I'll have to check ...

Locking chest inventory slots
I'd like to be able to lock chest inventory slots to particular items, like you can with cargo wagons.
When setting up a cargo wagon, you can use middle click to "lock" an inventory slot to a particular item. You can do the same with your character inventory. But you can't do this with the ...

Space Platform - allow filtering the list from "auto select missing construction materials"
When building a space platform, it's very convenient to be able to request missing "bulk" items like foundation and belts. But for high-value or difficult to construct items like quality asteroid collectors, it's often worth manually sending up just what's needed. Unfortunately, auto-select requests ...

[kovarex] [1.0.0] Crash after accidentally shift-clicking all blueprints from library: BlueprintBookSlot::paintComponent
This is a world I had from 0.18, loaded into my newly upgraded 1.0.
I was trying to copy a blueprint book from my blueprint library ("My Blueprints" tab) to my inventory. I accidentally hit shift-click, and it moved all my books from my library to my inventory, leaving my library nearly empty ...

Re: Blueprint Library Feedback
Most of the new functionality seems OK to me (although I've not been a heavy blueprint user up to now). But the one thing that I'm not happy with is how easy it is to accidentally delete a book from the library. I lost a book that way (luckily, I think it was one I'd imported rather than one I'd ...

Re: production flow graph tool
Very nice! I can see myself using this a lot.
I often find that I want the "opposite" view when planning a factory, as well - something that lets me see what's built out of (for example) batteries. That helps me plan what needs to end up near the battery production facility. If you're looking for ...

My logistics robots are being lazy!
I don't know if this is a bug, or something I'm missing. This is in a game started in 0.10.2, I haven't upgraded yet so it's still in that version. I have a big area of storage chests, and an active provider chest I can "dump" items into and let the robots sort them out. But there is a load of stuff ...

Re: [0.10.2] Logistic chests priority problem
so it would be great if we could set filters to chests!
That would indeed be good. On a related note, do items sitting in requester chests count to the limit on items in the logistic network? I think they shouldn't, as they are not available for use elsewhere, but I don't know how to check that ...

Centralising Logistic Storage using Active Providers
Most of the playthroughs I have seen use logistic robots to ferry resources from passive providers at factories producing materials, to requesters feeding into the factories that need those materials. Generally, this seems to work pretty well with a swarm of robots ferrying stuff between the ...

How can I tell how many construction robots I have?
As far as I can see, "Available Robots" is about logistic robots. But I don't see a way to work out how many construction bots I have (short of waiting till I have no construction projects on the go, and no repairs under way, and checking in each of my roboports...)

How do I calculate rates of production?
There are lots of calculators around on the web, and the wiki has a lot of information, but even with all of that information, I don't really see how to calculate rates of production properly. Just as an example, how would I calculate some of the basic mining / smelting rates?
The electric mining ...

Re: Sulfuric acid plant consuming sulfur for no reason
Not 100% sure, but i think the sulfur is getin the whole stack inside the acid plant. Meaning you should have around 50 if you look inside the acid one.
Same deal for the sulfur plant, if you remove the output, it will keep producing sulfur until 50.
Lemme know if im right.
Doesn't seem like it ...

Sulfuric acid plant consuming sulfur for no reason
I'm not sure if I am misunderstanding the fluid rules here somehow. I have a pretty standard battery production layout - petroleum + water -> sulfur, sulfur + iron + water -> sulfuric acid, sulfuric acid + iron + copper -> batteries. Batteries are fully backed up, so nothing should be getting ...
