QoL request: Train Station Labels

TL;DR Please add an option to label train stations so that it will be visible over the station What ? A simple label that would make the train station's name visible in game. My suggestion would also be to have this off by default, but it could be turned on in the station's option menu ... possibly...

Re: QoL request: Temporary Blueprint Lock Keybind

Sounds like what you actually want is a "planning mode" where you can place a blueprint down and make modifications to it (including moving it as a whole) before toggling the blueprint to real and letting the bots build it. Some form of "construction paper" overlay. No, this is ...

Re: QoL request: Temporary Blueprint Lock Keybind

But why would you unfreeze before placing it? If you freeze it in the wrong spot and single tile nudges isn't enough. Or if you change your mind and want do something different. A benefit to a freeze I would imagine is that you can switch to another blueprint or cancel blueprint placement and when ...

QoL request: Temporary Blueprint Lock Keybind

TL;DR Quality of life request: Please add keybind to temporarily lock the blueprint position to its current coordinates before it is placed. What ? 2 closely related issues When holding a blueprint and zooming in or out, the blueprint shifts position. That is, if you have grabbed a blueprint and yo...

Looking for tested blueprint location

Hello, I have played off and on for years. Often I want to find a "perfect" blueprint .... such as an optimal setup for oil, green circuits, science packs, etc. Is there a collection of these somewhere? Googling for these things is problematic since a lot of people will label their work &q...

Evolution Settings help please

Hi :) I am looking to increase the difficulty of mobs in the game. Ideally, the mobs would give me a few hours (about 6) to get my base and walls going. Then from 6-48 hours play time they would get gradually more difficult till after 2 days, they start breaking through the walls and annihilate me. ...

installation help por favor?

Hello :)

I set up a headless ubuntu server for a few friends, but I am no expert in ubuntu.

We are thinking of adding some mods to the game, can someone point me to the easiest set of directions about installing mods either through terminal or filezilla?

Thanks a lot :)

Re: simple power switch setup?

you need to connect a power sorce to one sinde and the assembler to the ohter side (but be careful not to fork into another energy source to the assembler..... Then you need to connect (via red/green wire) a readable entity to the power switch ( i would suggest a steel chest which you insert the in...

simple power switch setup?

OK, I am trying to set up a very simple power switch setup and I am having trouble finding anything relevant on the googles. All of the "tutorials" are either let's play videos or super complicated logic gate videos for people making crazy complicated machines. I have a power switch and an...

Roboports supplying the logistic network? help please

OK, it has been about a year since I played last and I am getting back into the game. I am having an issue with a simple blueprint I used to use in 0.12 ... Here is a picture https://i.imgur.com/sfdiOMD.png The requester chest asks for repair packs and the inserter feeds them into the roboport. This...

Re: Trouble Joining Rails, please help

regardless of the reason, it makes for sloppy placement and I hope it is fixed in a future build This rail configuration was here from the start and will probably never change. Just deal with it. This fine tuning will not improve gameplay even slightly. I disagree, it would improve the gameplay for...

Re: Filter Miners

Filter Miners

TL;DR Electric Mining Drills which would only mine ores of one type. What ? One problem I have is overlapping ore types ... like coal and copper, iron and stone. The output contains both ore types which then must be separated. It is bothersome to place mining drills carefully or to set up filter in...
