This is weird ... to me it seems like issue with not enough memory (of which you have plenty), or some kind of graphics issue.
Can set launch options in Factorio properties in Steam to following and see if it still crashes? --force-d3d

Sorry it took so long to get the memtest done,
it completed a full pass with no errors and was almost done with the second with no errors when i had to stop it.

Just had another crash after 30 minutes playing
