Re: [0.15] Explosive Excavation & Bot Landfill
For me, it now doesn't crash, but it hangs Factorio and I have to kill it. After disabling this mod it works fine.

Thanks! Guess that means I need to make a crap ton of these and have a moderate size recycling plant.

Re: [MOD 0.14.X] Air Filtering
So, I just started using this mod, should I expect to see the red/pollution area decrease if I have enough filters going? Or will it just hold steady where it's at even if I have an overwhelming number of filters?

Re: [MOD 0.12.20+] Homeworld
Running Factorio 0.13.9 with the latest version downloaded from the new Mods interface in-game, when loading off of a save file after having Factorio closed, the portal has disappeared and I can't see any way to get it back.

Crash when removing conveyor tile
I'm having a crash when removing a specific conveyor tile, and can reliably reproduce it. This is 0.11.4, but the save game was created in 0.11.3. The specific one is evidenced by the attached screenshot, and occurs whether I have the splitter in hand. I do have the save file, however it is ~6MB ...

Re: Friday Facts #41
Well, according to the Steam Hardware Survey , it's about 80% 64-bit versions of windows. Now that does follow the 80/20 rule, however 20% of potential market share is not a small thing. Although I agree, in the fairly near future it would make sense for nearly all developers (or at least, game ...

Re: Friday Facts #41
i see no reason to "discuss" obvious things.
intel dropped 32 bit desktop processors in 2006
amd in 2008
any desktop running 32bit processor is atleast 6 years old or using non desktop hardware.
there is no reason to support 32bit architecture right now, ever if 32bit support dropped, only few ...

Ah, you guys need to go west. The weather is nice and sunny near Domažlice! :)
The new player model looks great! Are different colours planned for multiplayer?
Actually today the weather is quite "summerish" here (unlike the past week). Yes there will be different colors. That was one of the ...

Re: Set custom alerts
Ah, well, I guess I haven't been following the forum enough (or long enough) to see that bit. And it's not on the 0.12 Roadmap thread. At least, not at the top. And the belt counter would be tied into the alerts system, although it may have been mentioned buried deep in one of those threads you ...

Set custom alerts
So, I did find something vaguely similar at https://forums.factorio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1238ap , but slightly different. Let's say for a chest (of any kind, or maybe just smart chest) could be set to alert if there is too little of X resource in it. For example, I like to buffer fuel ...

Not that I'm complaining about fixing more bugs & such... but is there an estimated release date for 0.10.1? Or is it when you feel that there's not much in the way of bugs to fix for it?

Beamed Power (aka Tesla Tower)
A thought that just occurred to me while reading Electric Energy Dev Proposal thread. Someone asked "what could you use that much power for" in response to a nuclear power plant giving off 1.3GW. My instant thought would be beamed power. Beamed power gives a certain radius that it can power (larger ...
