Friends and Alien-Slaves

I had the idea that maybe the aliens use their own slave labor force to help collect resources for their bases. Maybe if you free the "alien slaves" they will follow you to your base and speed up production in exchange for one fish per ex-slave. This way maybe you could discover that certa...

Re: Next steps

Thank you! The development team has done a wonderful job here. This answers a lot of questions, great customer service. :) Glad to hear Paypal unlocked your funds, that must have been stressful. I know I'm revealed to hear it's okay. It sounds like the backers that currently have "tester" ...

Re: Tesla Tower

Would you really need to disable the steam turret to prevent OPness? I think Electricity makes a more deadly weapon than Steam , but there is no reason you couldn't have both. In fact, there are lots of good turret ideas along these lines. - A flame-throwing turret - Tranquilizer dart turret - Mind...

Re: Role playing direction

Adding RPG elements to this game could take away from the unique gaming experience we have atm. It doesn't introduce anything we haven't seen before and would get in the way of doing what you want to do in this game which is manage resource flow and ensemble machines. If you want to add another dim...

Re: RTS direction

Sounds nifty, but while the game is all about automating stuff, if you start to make basic things such as factory construction automated, the game will start going from constructing factories to waiting for the game to construct factories for you. I think it would work better as just a command chai...

This is a really cool idea. :) The more interaction between bases the better.

Re: Steam turret

Turrets that do weak damage and have limited range would get destroyed by Creepers fairly quickly.

[Inserter] 90Β° Inserter - ninty degree movement

My suggestion is an Inserter that could take items and place them at at a 90 degree angle. http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/3931/36936204.jpg This idea would require a clockwise and counter-clockwise version. Clockwise Inserter (Pointing Right): - Can take from the Top and insert to the Right. - (Ro...

Re: [suggestion] Laser gun

Yeah, using rockets or driving a car into the them is a good way to take out turrets.

I think laser weapons would be fun to use but should have about the same range as machine guns (or Laser turrets).

Re: [Polls] Creepers in the demo

Do Creepers slowly gain in strength, defense and agility as the game progresses? Creepers are challenging at first, but way too easy once you have a comfortable setup. Progressive strength, numbers and enemy types would be a good addition to the mix.

These "engines" that are part of a Power Plant. So performance makes less sense than Available Power vs Usage.

Yep.

Abandoned means no one is around, because they left. Most likely it was made by aliens or other survivors of the crash that died.

Re: Version 0.2.10

We are sure we want to switch to less frequent releases and better testing cycle, most probably once per 14 days. Or maybe release bleeding edge updates as they become available, as was suggested somewhere on the Forum. I thought it was great having an update per week, but it's understandably stres...

Re: Bugs in 0.2.9 and testing

Yes, this game really should be using a database like Bugzilla. There should also be a "test release" available to us before each official release. That way, people who want to test can do so and people who want to play a stable build can stick with their older version until the official r...
