Natural water sources contain dissolved minerals, they are not pure water. That's why water has a taste- your body is looking for those dissolved minerals.
Pure water has no taste.
Drinking pure water will cause the body to give up minerals it already has in order to make the incoming water have ...

You can buy games on steam using Bitcoin if you happen to have some.

Its not going to happen, as has been repeatedly stated. Random failures and explosions will not be a part of the vanilla game, as they provide a trivial nusiance at best and a gamebreaker ending at worst.

Re: Allow players to set the stack limit on nuclear plants
The solution I use for this is to put an item on a belt loop that times the fuel insertion. A belt scanner set to pulse mode will cause an inserter to cycle exactly 1 time, which can have the stack size set to 1 to precisely and predictably insert 1 rod into each reactor.

Re: Long Handed Inserters: Fast, Filter, and Stack
I already view the one type of long handed inserter that is offered as a crutch and build my entire factory without. It simply is not needed in the majority of use cases.
Adding more would just be silly.

I've done both the combinator based hysteresis, and the belt based.
The belt based hysteresis performs better for one simple reason:

Re: Steam/diesel locomotives
I do make a mod that makes locomotives ONLY accept fluid oil as fuel. You can configure it to take steam as well. The thing is, I haven't found a good way to implement locomotive that uses both water and solid fuel. Here is the link to the mod page https://mods.factorio.com/mods/evildogbot100 ...

Re: Logistic Network Needs to be smarter
First improvement I would put on the list is to make bots not cut corners. While shorter, it makes it impossible to connect outposts to your network, because the robots will not go along the tracks of the train that might have turrets and are secure, but they go the direct route which can get them ...

Really strange idea. Less smart boilers would make basic power plants more complex to set up.

They dropped 32bit support for a reason, this same reason rules out the ARM version.
ARM is used in more than just phones and tablets though. It is a powerful enough architecture to be used in small energy-efficient servers for tasks like web hosting and NAS devices.

Re: (0.15.10+) Water and Steam, what's the plan?
Yes, currently boilers are 50% efficient. So 50% of the fuel energy added makes it into the steam.
This would be comparable to a real world boiler that has some scale buildup from bad water being fired without the attention to detail necessary for good combustion efficiency. Such a boiler would ...

Boilers in real life are not 100% efficient.
Real life boilers have the following efficiencies:

2 efficiency2 modules reduce things to 20% power consumption- the minimum allowed.
This also reduces their pollution by a comparable amount.
I run either efficiency or speed in pretty much everything, and actually question how useful productivity modules are. The world files are what 1million x 1 ...

agree because you have the electric furnace, so why not an electric boiler as well... => which will result in an infinite loop of power? so *offshore-pumps would need to require energy, which is another point...
