Re: Minimal Server Latency of 6 ticks
There will be always some minimal latency, to minimize the amount of packets, packets are send every two ticks and the packets have to go from client to server and then back. It could be lowered a bit, and we could probably provide an option to send packets every tick, but solving this isn't a big ...

question regarding biter expansion
does disabling expansion prevent new spawners from forming at already established bases or just going out and forming new bases? ( tooltip and wiki not 100% clear on this )

Re: GLIBC 2.23 runs the game but won't install mods?
Hello, I've recently setup a headless server on an old Dell I had lying around and installed Ubuntu 16.04. This came with GLIBC 2.23-0 installed and headless factorio runs perfectly fine on it. I am trying to use the Factorio mods manager here ( https://github.com/Tantrisse/Factorio-mods-manager ),...

Re: Friday Facts #357 - Nuke
personaly i think the central mushroom cloud disperses way to fast, looking abck at all the atomic weapons ever detonated it could take half an hour for the mushroom cloud to disperse on some so something like 10-30 seconds would be amazing

Re: [0.17.13] Unable to move sliders below 17%
It is still a bug the left hand slider ( Frequency ) is min capped at an arbitrary 17% bottom line it should be allowed to go to 0% and use it to disable as making it have 0% Frequency to disable is so much Clearer than having a continuity of "None"

Re: any reason cliff freq and other sliders capped at 17% min?
if my understanding is correct thats the amount of cliffs connecting to each other which still brings us right back around to the whole Frequency min capped at 17%

[0.17.13] Unable to move sliders below 17%
Cliffs and other sliders are capped at an arbitrary number of 17%. I believe this is an oversight as having the ability to disable cliffs for example would be a nice feature and in fact was present in 0.16.51

Re: any reason cliff freq and other sliders capped at 17% min?
considering submitting this as a bug report as 17 just seems like maybe an oversight and having the ability to have both a greater range and in the case of things like cliffs the ability to disable would seem to be the best way Edit: filed under bug reports https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?...

any reason cliff freq and other sliders capped at 17% min?
seems to be a random arbitrary number i only noticed it cause i prefer to play without cliffs and having the slider bottom out at 17% is rather stupid it should allow full range to 0

Re: Version 0.17.8
wow, we are already at 0.17.8 version O_O. does this mean 0.18 is around the corner? Looks like someone needs the "version numbers aren't regular numbers" talk. 0.17.9 + 0.0.1 is not 0.18.0, it's 0.17.10. Same for 0.17.99->0.17.100, and onward forever. They change to 0.18.0 when they deci...

Bisa accepted my PR that adds the alternative glibc root options to the script Trashman992 so if you grab a new copy you should be able to edit the config and have it running buttery smooth

Re: [0.16.28] Server logs report wired address for RCON
I will like an option to disable such obfuscation. I do not know how external ip can be private when you are using internet, but i'm pretty sure, that server admins need a way to know from where rcon connections come. i agree with this i mean say someone is trying to brute force your rcon you cant ...
