Re: some beginner questions regarding enemies
I havent tried this but it might work Make an outer perimeter like one gun turret every 25 blocks because i believe in order for a new base to spawn some biter must travel to that new location to build a base. Which is why you dont have random bases popping up in your factory.

Re: Enemy bases?
Hey, does this happen to anyone else? I know that when pollution on the minimap flashes on and off, that means there's an unloaded enemy base there. Sometimes, I've loaded a chunk and walked through it, but an hour later an enemy base spawns out of nowhere. Can enemy bases spawn like this? Is this ...

Sorry, but I can't see all that "gets boring at some point" anymore
If factorio bores you, it's not the game for you. It allows you to play it in countless ways, to be creative and to use your brain.

Some similar and more general discussion: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7401&hilit=car+inventory Balancing of Capacities of Containers
It should be way more general ;)
If we discuss the balance between trunk sizes, we should also talk about a person, carrying 6000 steel bars ...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
Quick question, can anyone tell me why this warning setup wouldnt flash up on my hud when out of power? Trying to build an early low power/fuel warning system. Got the smart inserter at the boiler to not insert when my backup coal storage kicks in, causing the setup to power down but still nothing ...

Re: Red & Green Wire Logistic network
I think in 0.12, there is no more "red" and "green" networks, just one single network where you can read, compute, and write whatever you want. with one of the major added features of 0.12 : combinators.

Re: water problem
1 tile. Pumps move water from one side to the other side without allowing backflow. After that the normal water physics does the work and fluids flow from a location of less free space to a location with more free space. Pretty much same way pumps work in real life.

Re: Are there any limits to spawners?
Any structure you like. Wooden chests are cheap if you're near the woods. I use iron chests, but that was just a habit because I started in a desert and wood was more expensive to me than iron for a while.

Re: Are there any limits to spawners?
Killing them will beware you of being killed. No. 2: The more you kill, the more agressive / evolved the others get. If you can't deal with them AND the base, it doesn't make scence to attack. Research weaponry and armor before the next try. And when you destroy the base: Don't forget the victory ...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
About the Biters; when I have a world set where they "never attack first", do they start attacking in waves once I attack them? Or is it just a case of whoever's in the area attacks me, and the rest continue not caring about me? I just want to know if I need to set up actual defenses before I wipe ...

Re: Biters faster on concrete?
I'm sorry if this has been posted or discussed elsewhere, but I couldn't find it through search. Do biters move faster on concrete same as the player? I can never get a good enough look at them to figure it out before my lasers melt them. Trying to decide if it's better to keep the outside of my ...
