I think it doesn't make a difference to my argument to just mothball the factory and build the new one somewhere else. (Indeed some parts survived with nearly no throughput any more.)
However, it felt to me like it was the biggest overhaul I remember. And that's not positive.
(PS: For normal ...

Re: My space age review
Because nothing was or is optimised for the upcoming upcycling approach. Not all items had been produced in the minor factories at the other planet, but some only at Nauvis, which would have been added. Material entrances were not optimised for delivery. Each machine was optimised for handling ...

Re: My space age review
Let me also explain, why I unfortunately find quality to be similar.:
In a mid-early stage you start with it and start to experiment with it. It is interesting, indeed. But it always felt massively incomplete and like it wasn't intended to try the mechanic this early:

Re: My space age review
Let me explain:
When I first meet Gleba I did a "Play around with Gleba and build accidentally a factory in the process" approach, like what I did at all other planets, and the space platform. But I failed miserably. Basically because everything got spoiled when I tried to experiment with it. (I ...

Re: My space age review
My opinion:
If the point was to find the one optimal design that beats all, and you couldn't immediately find it.
It's not finding your optimal design. But the one intended design. And that's why both Gleba and quality are not very fun. Rather only okay.
Especially Gleba forces you a high speed ...

Re: Allow Biolabs on every planet *except* Gleba
What about another solution: Instead of spreading biolabs to more planets, engage building labs on each planet by adding some kind of (master-)slave laboratories as a late game item.
Slave labs can be built on other planets but they each need to transmit their scientific results via radio to a to ...
