I know you said it'll be done when its done, but I'm curious if you have worked on updating the MAPGEN?
I have forked it for my own mods, but 2.0 broke it when lualib/noise was removed and I can't figure out how to work.

Water world generation in 2.0
I'm trying to create map generation in which the whole map is water except under cliffs, spawners, one a few tiles for the player, similar to SeaBlock .
The info in the API Docs is thin(Or I'm not sure what I'm looking at/for) and it seams no one has asdress this for 2.0 yet.

Long answer: I'm working through updating all the mods in the pack. Bob's mods are getting close to being ready. Once I have them released, I'll shift focus onto Angel's mods. Only once all the other mods have been updated can ...

The 2.0 release has broken this, local noise = require("noise") specifically. Noise.lua is no longer included in the lualib.
I've looked in the new core/lualib folder, but I can't see where the new noise functions are...
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
