To reiterate part of the weird behavior: Open Tech tree -> press Pause button -> press ESC, which you would expect to open the menu or to leave the tech tree. Instead the menu is rendered in the background of the tech tree, in a non-interactible way: https://i.imgur.com/zeLCgZj.jpeg

Fair enough. I will note, though, that this current behavior is annoying specifically in the scenario of trying to add recipe icons to blueprint icons, titles, or descriptions. E.g. I probably noticed this behavior while trying to make an acid neutralisation blueprint.

Current behavior: Parametrized blueprints currently cannot be tiled because the popup which asks for entering the parameters interrupts the tiling movement.

+1, something like "Read belt length" would be great for e.g. sushi belts on space platforms, so you could make circuit designs that say things like "put ammo onto this belt up to 30% of its total belt capacity". Currently I have to count belt length manually, which is fine for static designs but ...

TL;DR
Frozen entities currently do not have an Alert like e.g. entities missing material for construction do. Consider adding such an alert.
Why?
Example use case: In Aquilo map view, I currently cannot tell at all when half my factory has frozen over.
