Having read through this forum and the related thread on Reddit link , I would like to make a (possibly terribly-informed) suggestion.
I think that the decision Raiguard mentioned in the Reddit thread to have the machine pull from the entire pipeline is the right one as fluidboxes (? I think that's ...

Re: Let Landmines Emit a 1-Tick Circuit Signal before Detonation
That would work decently well for the first use case (detecting incoming biters), but is rather more complicated than simply detecting 1 tick pulses like inserters as it requires the edge detector. Allowing the mines to send the signal themselves would also allow for resetting a "danger, do not ...

Let Landmines Emit a 1-Tick Circuit Signal before Detonation
What?
With the new ability to connect landmines to the circuit network introduced in 2.1, it would provide an interesting use case to landmines if they were able to emit a signal for a single tick before detonation. This may require delaying the detonation by a tick from the current implementation ...

Re: [kovarex] Parameterized Train interrupts cant be used in conjunction with reading train IDs
Hello!
I'd just like to voice that I have also encountered this problem and would very much love to see a fix for it. There is a work around using negative signals as valyrie97 indicated, but it would simplify a bit of circuitry to be able to select which wires signals are broadcast on/read from in ...
