[gfx] [for 0.17] [0.16.37] Bug/Feature? Sound issue when near nuke blasts
Not sure if this is working as intended.
If you end up close enough to the edge of a nuke blast to hear the explosion it completely mutes the sound of the rocket launcher.
This can be replicated by standing still and repeat firing nukes at maximum range you will hear the constant noise of the rocket ...

Re: Fluid balancing
Productivity modules also can put more resources out than were put in.
True but its the transportation that's the issue at hand, you can transport 2000 iron ore in a cargo wagon. If you smelt it first even with productivity modules you get 2200 iron plate that you can cram into a cargo wagon and ...

Fluid balancing
A delicate issue.
The reason I believe fluids need balancing is due to Crude oil behaving differently to every other raw resource in the game. Once crude oil has been processed it takes up more space in storage than the raw product. All the other resources gain a storage bonus (minimum double) from ...

0.15 Ghost biters/orphan biters
Not a big issue.
Has happened to me three times since 0.15, have cleared out an area of biters and then many hours later when going out to a cleared area I'll find a biter just standing there. However when I approach the bitter it just Disappears.

Well Linux had a fit and my browser stopped working. So I gave windows 7 a try and tried using the benchmark testing via windows command prompt.
I can append the benchmark commands without issue but command prompt will not spit out any results to me when the benchmark is finished.

Site smelting and Train throughput.
Quick informational on trains and smelting on site.
Was doing the math on my train system to see how much I could squeeze through raw vs smelted and worked out the numbers. Though I would share them as the percentage increase should roughly apply to all train networks.

Could not figure out how to get it working in the end, the combination of Steam and Ubuntu is to much for me.

Was trying to do some UPS efficiency testing of designs in creative mode but the game update fluctuates so much it's hard to get a good reading.
I have heard tell of a benchmark testing mode and found the below commands in the wiki however I'm unclear as to how to use them.

Re: [0.15.33] Severe ups dorp when destroying biter bases
This is a know issue... feature I'm not sure how to name it. Its the blood animation that causes it.
If your willing to use mods look up the below one it turns off the blood particles and gets rid of the UPS drop when nuking bases.

Re: Why do roboports even have repair pack slots?
I remember that damaged items used to take up their own slot, did partial used repair packs used to do the same thing?
Might explain why the roboports have so many repair pack slots. Don't need seven slot anymore that's for sure.

Re: The Theme And Philosophy You Found in Factorio
Theme and Philosophy wise I don't really see much if any in this game as it's far to flexible at start. You can turn off pollution, biter expansion and evolution. Not to mention all the resource options.

I think what he is worried about is mining efficiency you can correct me if I' wrong Dragony
Imagine a drill 10 mines down a mining belt and the mines before it due to randomness spit our all their ore in just the right way that all 10 ore is snuggled up against each other nice and tight on the belt ...

10 more UPS please advice welcome.
I ran into UPS issues a while back so I followed the standard advice, get rid of all the belts, switch to a train bot network.
Don't have one large bot network break it up into smaller chunks, use solar for all power needs.
Turn off clouds and smoke in the graphics options.(not sure if this is a FPS ...
