I would like flame turrets to catch on fire and then explode.

I'm in the midst of a much larger mod, where there is more long range combat. (I also have questions about how to provoke enemy ranged units into using their ranged abilities at longer ranges. Re: Gleba has killed the game for me.

I think it's unusual if it's expected that players should open the tech tree to find out about gameplay mechanics. Usually the tech tree is only used for selecting the next tech, and not as a source of information for how to tackle planets.

Re: I beat space age! (long+opinions+feedback)

I feel ya. Even on aspects where I might disagree, I can see where you're coming from on all of the above points. So on a few minor technical points...

I beat the game but I still haven't found a good solution how to manage the different asteroid percentages in different environments. It's ...

Re: Gleba has killed the game for me.

I'm trying to produce quality Biochambers. This should be simple. I've managed to produce all other quality production facilities. But for Gleba, it's an absolute ball ache. If anything is wrong then my base starts getting destroyed. I can put up turrets, but I still get nagged with annoying ...

Re: Reddit is terrible for Factorio spoilers

The assumption was made that if all Space Age related discussions were considered spoilers, then the entire subreddit would become 100% spoiler tagged, and that just seemed silly. So the decision was made (not without some discussion and opposing opinions), that attempting to consider all Space Age ...

Re: Space Age general Questions

When editing pinned remote views, what does "always visible" do?

It does not appear to change whether the item is viewed in the pinned list under the minimap. And I can't find anywhere else that pinned items are visible.

I did read that there was a may to make them not display unless a meta key ...

Setting the initial scene...

I've seen other mods do this. i know it can be done. I just haven't the foggiest idea what the right way to accomplish this is. A pointer to a simple example, or a general description of what I should manipulate in which stage would be appreciated.

In vanilla, the player is presented with a crashed ...
