Re: Water Cannon
No. Its not an interesting use case and it would make FireFlame to be a lot more complex because it would have to be a military target for turrets to see them. Haha, oh my god mate, I meant the handheld flamethrower for putting out forest fires. I never even thought of it that way - using a turret,...

Re: Ghost build priority?
The obvious current answer to this is to break up your blueprints into additional segments, so that bots will only build what you wish them to build.
Btw, I would completely love a priority system.

Re: Space Age - Planet Gleba and Pollution contributing to Spoilage
This is a really interesting suggestion relating to opportunity cost, and would definitely fit in the theme of the game and the planet.
If it is not included in the expansion, I would definitely love to see this in a mod.

I came to a realization surrounding 2.0
Despite reading FFF #417 about a month ago, I only realized something a few days ago, at just how well Wube is looking after not only the game, but our own wellbeing as players. One of my greatest disappointments from all the time I've spent in Multiplayer is that 95% of all games revolve around the...

Hotkey for Switching Train [Automatic] <-> [Manual]
TL;DR Implement a hotkey for switching trains from [Automatic] to [Manual] and vice-versa, that when clicked whilst the mouse is hovering over a train, switches this condition. What ? Literally just that, or allow hotkeys for setting the condition of a train to [Automatic] or [Manual] rather than a...

Blueprint Editor (Blueprint God Mode Planet)
TL;DR An additional "planet" you can freely "travel to" at any time, that has god mode/editor mode so that you can create and edit blueprints in an actual editor without affecting your main planets, bonus points for the dark grey/light grey grid background and something like max...

Re: Friday Facts #416 - Fluids 2.0
I think it would be interesting if, for example, we had tier 4 assembly machines that required cooling liquid and instead of having one input like normal recipes they have a throughput through (e.g. from left to right) it like steam engines currently do so they can still be chained together. You pu...

Re: High Temp Steam > Coal Liquefaction Bonus
After all, what many of us love about the game is its mirroring of real things. Ultimately, though, if this is something you really want, this is super easy to mod in. Yea that is a fair basis mate. I was thinking more along the lines of end game pathways, like, what options are available to the pl...

Re: High Temp Steam > Coal Liquefaction Bonus
Coal Liquefaction in Factorio is modeled on the Fischer–Tropsch process , and this process is running with temperatures between 150–300 °C. Higher temperatures don't just yield more, it's producing different output. Usually even less desired output. Factorio's simulation should not leave its real w...

Re: Skip mod loading
Yea, I would rather have the option to load a lightweight standalone mod manager from the executable and edit the list than wait for the game to load only to set it back to the base game and then reload the game again.

High Temp Steam > Coal Liquefaction Bonus
TL;DR Using high temp steam (nuclear reactor), should give bonus to coal liquefaction. What ? At the moment, there is no reason to use nuclear reactors and heat exchangers for coal liquefaction over solid fuel in boilers, especially as solid fuel is a byproduct of coal liquefaction, as there is no ...

I made a thing. (4 way Overhead Rail intersection).
I really love theory crafting, I find it helps a lot managing my mental health and the depression. I also have Dyspraxia, which gives me issues with motor skills, so I tend to gravitate towards building games (Minecraft, Factorio etc) or turn based games (Pokemon), because it just allows me to do th...
