Re: bigger chest 2xN size (for railway blueprints) or long-handed stacker inserter.
If you set stations where cars stops diagonally you would be surprisingly find it is possible. Try it. Also worth to mention. One side can have 6 inserters up to 12 items in stack maximum. Or 12 long inserters up to 3 items in stack maximum, which is only half less. Speed is also lower of course. I...

Re: bigger chest 2xN size (for railway blueprints) or long-handed stacker inserter.
The use case for Vanilla would be marginal... and probably most Megabases use mods. Ehm, no? It's a totally different challenge to build megabases with mods. I'm (with a friend) at the moment involved in building one in vanilla. Besides, again, an additional chest isn't very complex, and it won't r...

Re: bigger chest 2xN size (for railway blueprints) or long-handed stacker inserter.
Trains/tanks in train stations have never been a necessity. It' perfectly doable to unload a train into 1 tile chests with stack inserters. Your use case is extremely specific, and the issues you face are the consequence of a design decision. A such, I think you should address your need with mods, ...

Re: Friday Facts #361 - Train stop limit, Tips and tricks
Just wanted to say that we really, really, really wait for 1.1 availability. We're struggling so much while waiting... P.S. Also add the simple 2x1 sized chest to vanilla already! It's a paint to use cars (manually! no blueprint!) for alignment in train-to-train setups. Do you really think Our Hero ...

bigger chest 2xN size (for railway blueprints) or long-handed stacker inserter.
Please, please, please! We really need to get rid of cars/tanks in our vanilla train-station designs. All we need -- any chest of even width/length. Let it be 2x1 (ideally) or 2x2 or 2x6 (like train carriages). Or a long-handed stacker inserter. Or belt loader-unloader. Or allow railways not align o...

Pause player logistics after death
TL;DR Disable personal logistics requests for a minute or so after the player death. Or maybe just clear logistic requests on death altogether! As a penalty. What ? After I die with a full inventory bots will refill it. Then I try to pick up the inventory from my corpse. No way it will fit. Imagine...

[SOLVED] [0.17.79] "Failed to load local achievement" on startup -- no mods!
On every start of the game app, there is a message saying : "Data error: Failed to load local achievement data. Local achievements might be lost." Factorio 2020-01-04 100921.png I close it and it works OK, new achievements are recognized, but on the next start it comes up again. I even rei...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
He probably wants to split *lanes* by splitter and wonders why that doesn't work as he intended. Splitter splits both lanes on the input belt[s] to both output belts. If you want to split coal to one belt and ore to another you should configure that splitter with priority and filter, like "put ...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
If I play Factorio on two different computers, what is the best way to keep my blueprints synced between the two computers? Is this possible? I take the right side of the blueprint window where it says My Blueprints only shows what is saved local, right? I am not sure how to use the left side, or S...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
When I've last played on 0.15.x, and searching the internets, distinctly remember Assemblers to stop producing once they have 2x of their production run in storage. There is a simple small mistake: Output of an assembler was always limited by a stack. Input was limited by twofold of necessary items...

Re: Requesting help with rail junction
Again there was a brilliant rule of thumb there, it will definitely help you. Before the shared piece (on the entrance) put the chain signal. After the shared piece put the regular signal (on the exit). Explaining in details: On the entrance to the split should be chain signal, so no train will stan...
