Re: Oil Processing designs?

http://i.imgur.com/yxZUwQy.jpg I assure you this is complete overkill on the number of oil processing plants.. At least until I Go out looking for more oil wells. But anyway, that sort of pattern with oil processing plants outputting into the centre three pipes for light, heavy and petroleum. The i...

Logistics Robots

Hi, I've seemed to have problems in my logistic system. I've probably produced a total of 3000-4000 logistics bots, but something keeps happening where my available robots goes from 3000+ to only a few hundred. I have noticed logistics bots bringing me items over long distances just simply disappear...

Re: Solar panel factory

I want to know why you have such an expansive factory solely for solar panels etc. when you could just use logistics to keep it extremely minimal?

Re: Science Packs 1 - 4 Factory

I'm pretty sure you could move those assemblers around so that one gear assembler feeds the needs for that entire factory, although I'm hard pressed to believe that it could keep up with production if you were doing constant research. As for the circuits, it's either keep as it is or add another cir...

Re: Science Packs 1 - 4 Factory

I expanded my compact 1+2 science factory to add blue science too. It's now about the triple size, but that's still very compact, considering the complexity of blue science. I have 6 blue assemblies for them, so technically they can't keep up with red and green production, but since lots of techs d...

Re: massive biter base clearing

Early game, I turtled with walls and laser turrets until I researched a lot in combat robotics and power armor. I use distractor caps, slowdown caps and destroyer caps as well as a fairly kitted out suit of power armor. I'd throw out a few destroyers, approach a biter base, start kiting the biters a...

Re: Science Packs 1 - 4 Factory

nice I also don't really strive for compact. I love a nice sprawling factory with crazy conveyer belts, especially since I have only put it maybe 20 hours so far. That's what makes this such great fun you can have any design you like. Compactness is one thing, but I think OP's design doesn't have t...

Re: Show me your map! :3

http://i.imgur.com/H3H9HIA.png Welp, here's my current save. Resource options maxed out, but biter base options maxed out too. Has been a challenge. I have a pretty widespread logistic system now, even though belts are still used for a big portion of my production. Future plans are to start working...

Re: Help with worm clearing and deconstruction.

Hi, Personally I like to use poison capsules, slowdown capsules and disruptor capsules. I get in my car, then start kiting the biters around and away from the base, I then use slowdown capsules to slow the herd to give me time to swing back by the base, drop disruptor capsules right on top of the sp...

Re: Some questions concerning Petrochemicals

Ahhhh, I see. Thanks for the information! Makes sense. I guess I should just keep experimenting eh? Experimentation with this game is the best part, and then the rewarding feeling you get when you figure something clever out and it works as planned. On the topic of the oil industry, I run advanced ...

Re: Science Packs 1 - 4 Factory

shouldn't there be en efficiency beacon near the 4th tier science pack constructor part ? (at least for me alien artifacts seem to come hard for a beacon to worth it) I'm playing this particular save with very big biter bases, with very good quality. I basically get constantly attacked at my walls,...

Science Packs 1 - 4 Factory

Hi, I'm kinda new here and I just wanted to show off a belt system I made for my science packs/ research. It should be said that this design is not for people who want something compact, this system is quite large. (Actually in fact, everything on this save is rather expansive) If you can't see the ...

Hi, new player here. If real-estate isn't a limiting factor, you can use a big system like this one I made today. (second decent game I've played since I started yesterday) http://i.imgur.com/7L440Kw.jpg Iron Plates + Copper Plates come in on the right from my central smelter/ IP-CP distributor, fe...

Re: New guy needs help.

Hi, just bought this game and it really looks interesting but I'm running into a couple of issues.. 1. I cannot pick up items off the ground whatsoever. 2. Not even the transport belts are working properly and I don't understand why. Some coal just stopped at a corner and won't go around the bend t...
