Hi. I can't describe how much I am impressed by factorio's performance and how it improved over the years
I was wondering what can be potentially improved/optimized in the future?

Vanilla megabase SPM records?
Title. I saw several 20k megabases, but quick search didn't yield anything higher.

Re: Factorio confessions
I learned another important lesson last night - while fooling around with chain signals, do not stand in the middle of the track! Thats a general lesson... about not fooling around on train tracks - it applies much more if you are using mods and trains are running at higher speeds then vanilla. I'l...

Inserter clocking related question
I was thinking about inserter clocking and how it can improve ups. What if there was a slider "set MIN stack size" similar to "set stack size"? For example setting it to 12 makes inserter only swing if it can grab 12 items. Would is save ups? It seems too easy to implement, there...

Re: Some ideas for the "One big expansion pack"
Personal: Other people like medieval/modern/whatever. I like space. Logical: It's a natural extension of "launching rockets" and was part of the original development roadmap. And it has good potential for actually new mechanis. That's not the point, space is cool (literally ) but the...

Re: Some ideas for the "One big expansion pack"
Tbh I don't know why people are so hyped about space. Wow, I can now build another base on the moon, or space platform, yay. I hope to see more design possibilities. Think about nuclear power, it's like a big optional quest - set up sulfuric acid, bring it to miners, invest many resources in expensi...

Blueprint separate wires
TL;DR
A checkbox in the blueprint tool, when checked power poles in that blueprint won't connect to poles outside of the blueprint. Why ?
Better control over wire connections, easier to design and work with separate networks and power switches.- Wed Dec 30, 2020 2:17 pm

Other people came up with similar design, I refined it to use less belts, while also being compact and aesthetic
