Re: Uranium enrichment is weird

Took a while to reach the 41 needed to start the process, but then nearly all the U-238 was enriched.
i had to cut a piece of belt to make it stack again.

I've spent many hours playing.

Re: Factorio 0.9.1 Optimization Guide
Interesting concept, but you focus on outputting the entire mining operation's ore on a single belt lane supposedly going into the furnaces. Don't you think that you may have issues with that? For example, suppose the belt capacity is not reached and your ore is happily chugging along. However, if ...

If you have excess, dont store, crack...
And if you need more heavy oil, use the first oil processing instead of the advanced oil processing.
The problem now is not that it is overproduced, I think the problem is that people dont really know how to find a balance.

light oil right now is overproduced.
once started i was full of carbon and was too much anyway
after the introduction of light oil to solid fuel i stopped mining coal and got 80k of solid fuel
while i was always on low level of sulfur and plastic needed for advanced circuits, batteries and robots ...

Re: 30 MW Day / Night Solar Energy Accumulation
Maybe the devs have time to gift us with the exact numbers :D
I Found that a full day is 25.000 ticks , 60 ticks/s = 416.6 realtime seconds.
And the night with sunrise and sunset is 138 seconds
those from developers notes
So i'll assume :
full day : 416.6 sec

I said in that thread (mentioned above) night/day ration is 0.3060 but it was wrong, because I divided it with fullday.

Re: 30 MW Day / Night Solar Energy Accumulation
Dont mix up real time hours with ingame hours. A ingame night is maybe only 100 (real-time)seconds long. So you need just enough accus to get 30MW for 100 seconds = 3 Gigajoules = 3000 MJ + reserve
so the info i'm missing is how long is a INGAME full day , and how is splitted day/night ...

Re: 30 MW Day / Night Solar Energy Accumulation
Your calculations are correct, but for one point: the night is MUCH shorter (somewhere in the region 3/4 day, 1/4 night). And at dawn and sunset there is some sort increase and decrease in solar power production, maybe someone could specify some numbers.
