[0.10.10] enemy candidate for expansion issues

Post by pyrolytic_tungsten »

Chunks marked as enemy candidate for expansion aren't updated when a spawner is destroyed.

This image shows the nest to the north east and the chunks it has caused to be candidates for expansion.

This image shows candidates for expansion after the north east base is destroyed. They haven't changed.

This image shows candidates for expansion after placing a chest at the former nest site showing that they have been properly updated.

This image shows candidates for expansion after that chest is removed. This is what would have looked like in the second picture if the spawner had updated candidates for expansion.

Worm only bases are used for candidate for enemy expansion calculations. To the east of the destroyed nest is a worm only base (never had a spawner to start) which will obviously never expand(see above picture). This could prevent creation of new spawners in some areas.

Steps to reproduce:
1 Load this save.
2 Note candidate sites.
3 Destroy base to the northeast with provided distractor capsules and note candidate sites.
4 Place chest at site of former spawner and note candidate sites.
5 Mine the chest and note candidate sites.
6 Note how the worm only base to the east of the former nest affects candidate sites for expansion.

Thank you for the bug report, this is a good find, since no-one noticed this basic problem since the concept was created.

Fixed for 0.10.12
