Due to UPS/FPS drop, myself, and I'm sure others as well, disable polluation to have less things that contribute to hitting PC limitations. However, it's almost boring like this.
Why can't we get an "alert" version insted?
What do I mean?
when I turn off pollution, I leave the enemy expansion on so that the enemies still come near me. So of course they get attacked if to close...but what If this happens, they insted produce a "blood" pollutions. Aka just like pollution, a large area will be "marked". All enemies that are "marked" will react to the player as if the player came to close to them. Due to them being in bloodlust mods, when they get killed, they won't produce any "blood" pollution. So of course this is to prevent an endless wave.
And of course, small bitters will produce a small area and won't last long. Just like normal pollution, the more there are, the large it will be. And of course, if the player attacks the enemy nest, nearby enemy nest will be alerted and come to the player. But, due to the bloodlust mode, they won't cause another wave attack. And of course, enemy building, who can't be bloodlusted, will aways create such "blood" pollution, so attacking enemy bases is actually more difficult, more riskier, the more evolution goes on.
In case it's more simple to understand: Replace normal pollution with a temporarry pollution cause by enemy death. Said pollution will cause will cause other enemies (who where not part of the initial group) to go in a bloodrush mod after the player or whatever killed the initial group. And if an enemy who is with bloodrush dies, no pollution to avoid infinite waves.
The main difference is that this new pollution is only temporary, and with no muti layer, no mutiple "contribution", aka reducing the amount it contributes to a "possible" UPS/FPS drop, while still keeping enemy attacks a thing, even without pollution.
Heck, this can be taken further via trees also doing the same thing if burned.
But again
the main Ideea why I suggest this: to reduce any contribution normal polluation has to UPS/FPS drops OR if completly disableled AND STILL enemy attacking the base on their own, still happens
Ability to have enemies attack even without polluation.
