Good defence config?

That is a really nice design, but every time I try to build a maze like that, once medium biters start attacking, they always seem to just attack the walls and not run through the maze. Any ideas how to fix this or why it is happening?

Whenever biters get stuck trying to walk around your buildings, they try to break their way through. The only solution to it is making a design where biters always have plenty of room for running.
