Rails on water, convenience item

Hello there, I find myself regularily building rails on water. This means first using landfill and then laying rail. At times, this is a little awkward / tedious as rails are curved and landfill is using small squares. I'd like to propose that rails can be built straight on water if the requisite landfill is in the player's inventory, so that both landfill and rail are placed simultaneously

Have you tried using Rail planner (having Rail in cursor, clicking on a green arrow on an already placed Rail, then Shift+click on a desired location)?
It will place ghosts of landfill and rails, then conbots from your personal roboport / stationary roboports will build it for you.

Once you get Elevated Rails, you don't need the landfill any more. They're a game changer! I was very happy to discover this on my 2nd SA playthrough..
