TL;DR
Productivity 300% limit shouldn't apply to the recipes for which there's no way to uncraft them through a recycler. What?
I'm a little surprised this hasn't been suggested (I looked around and couldn't find it, apologies if I missed it).So, we all know about the 300% productivity limit and how it exists to prevent a recycler loop that would generate resources out of thin air. In most places it makes sense.
This limit does not apply to mining productivity and lab productivity, which also makes sense.
However, it does apply to scrap recycling, rocket parts, and asteroid processing, and I think it should be removed on these.
Why?
These recipes are all one-way and cannot be reversed in a recycler, so removing the cap on them creates no recycler loop possibility.Granted, they would require very high levels of infinite research to reach, but it is possible, so why put a limit if someone manages to reach it?
