As the title implies, it's primarily a visual distinction issue.
diamond icon next to quality in the stats page on the right hand side of the screen?
That kind of implies that the quality of the machine gives a multiplier to the innate quality bonus of a machine. For a machine with no innate quality, any multiplier applied would still equal 0, but if a machine had an innate quality, say 10% at common, at uncommon it'd be 13%, rare = 16%, epic = 19%, Legendary = 25%.
Simply put, if the above assumption is indeed false, that icon should be removed.
Hopefully this is clear enough,

Indeed. It still will not be changing.

Okay, still a bit weird in my opinion. Looking at that bug report, I have to agree with them though, if you angle yourself just right, you can see how quality affects quality, which doesn't make a lick of sense.
Also, apologies for not seeing the other post, not once did the shape "Rhombus" pop into my head.

Why can you get a popup for that one in particular, but there are none for the other two quality diamonds? That definitely feels like an unintended feature at that point. Also, apologies for not seeing the other post, not once did the shape "Rhombus" pop into my head.
