The maximum speed a ship can fly without taking damage depends on the rate of the asteroid spawning. Asteroid spawning is dependent on the position in space and speed. Even though it is possible to integrate the speed and get the position of the platform to map it to an asteroid spawn rate I don't feel like doing that, as I would have to additionally fit the spawn rates somehow with the circuit network.
A direct output on the space platform of the spawn rate per asteroid would allow me to regulate the speed of my ships depending on their capability.
Alternatively a radar could output the rate.
Asteroid spawning rate as output from space platform

Re: Asteroid spawning rate as output from space platform
You can infer (very roughly) the amount of Asteroids being destroyed from the Rate at which Ammunition is being consumed by your Railgun/Rocket/Gun Turrets. Assuming that each Turret type has a Target Filter for the appropriate Huge/Big/Medium/Small Asteroid types, they will naturally consume faster - until the Production capacity of your Platform is exceeded. I typically use “Read All Contents” for the Belt feeding the Turrets to trigger reduced Thrust (and an Alarm!) if there are insufficient Rockets/Railguns/Magazines
Good Luck!
