Train not finding stations - tried everything

Hello,

I have a train that will not work in automatic mode. The manual driving works every time. I am trying to take my purple train from Parts Factory Filling Station to First Factory 2 and back again. I have been banging my head against the wall for a few hours now and I am almost ready to give up.

Notes:

There are no signals on this map that I know of. These are straight shot rails with a couple of passing lanes for future expansion.

I can drive the train manually but once I change it to automatic it says "No Path"

I have tried the Ctrl+left click trick to find the path and there does not seem to be any errors.

I have deleted the train itself and added it again to make sure the orientation is correct. No change.

My save game is attached. Could someone smarter than me let me know what I am doing wrong?

The train stop "First Factory 2" is on the wrong side of the rail for any train to arrive at it from the only valid incoming rail.
