Long description

Important: this mod depends on Color Picker. You will have to download it together with this mod. Otherwise, this mod will not be enabled, because the color picker is the main feature of this mod.

It is recommended to use the Brighter Color Mask - Wagon mod.

When you select a cargo wagon, a small button will appear at the left side. Click it to open the color picker and change the wagon's color with it.

Also, by default, it enables the option to let you copy-and-paste colors between wagons. You can turn off it in config.lua.

Known issues

Before the color of a cargo wagon is edited, the color picker shows that it is white, but in fact it is not. It is due to the limitation of the modding API. We can get wagon's color only after it is edited.

Woops, found a critical error that occurs when pasting from a wagon which doesn't have its color edited before.
Released the fix for that.

ok, I will do the locomotive color. But you have been warned: it won't be perfect. It can't be used with the built-in UI. There is no way to synchronize it with my color picker.

Yes, shift + right/left button.
Without this mod, copy-and-paste between wagons will not apply to their colors, but only the filters. This mod makes it also apply to colors.

The mask of wagons is too dark. In combination with a pure color it produces greyish tint. Could it be changed?

I will investigate on it, but it seems that I will need to create another set of images and override the original mask images.

looking at all your mods, i have to agree :-)

The mask of locomotives is too dark. In combination with a pure color it produces greyish tint.

since i started using mods for train management, i don't color wagons or locomotives myself any longer, but let it do by other mods, eg train ore color. but the resulting engine color is always only another shade of dark grey, and without having a very close look, it's difficult to see what kind of goods is transported (of course, i can enable icons and see directly what is in a wagon :-).

if you have too much spare time besides working on all your other nice mods,
maybe you could brighten them up, too ? :-)

Time is never enough. But I can try. (I do mods according to my interest. )

Because the color mask of locomotive covers more areas, including those that are supposed to be dark. I couldn't simply brighten the images, but also need to increase the contrast. But if it is too much, they will not look good. It is the best combination I got. Hope it is bright enough.
