Can you add biter rehaul mods to an active playthrough?

Can you add biter rehaul mods to an active playthrough?

Okay so I had downloaded a Martincitopants Space Exploration modpack.
It was terrible and didn't have all the mods, and I only wanted the
biter rehaul mods. I was about 6 hours in and the biters haven't yet evolved.

Will the biters change/new nests change into modded nests?
The mod in question is Natural Evolution Enemies (fixed)
