A little biter shaving contraption

So i want to get some meat out of the biters......

and build me some contraption for shaving the biter...
and could not resist to show off 8-)

it works like charm.....

the whole of the belts are not needed the biters rarely comes over the first two rows.....
This methode may be also working good as a wall, because the belt will push the biters back, let them in the reach of the turrets but not in th reach of the spiters......
so its a lemmings contraption for the biters....

so now i need to figure out some trigger to get the biters running into thier doom :twisted:

I though so, bu i need to figure out a timed single shot because i don't want the whole area cleared, only just triggering the biters... :)

That did not worked out very well because the shell will take out some spawners :oops:

i decided to try a pollution-solution, need to set up the solar/akku power of my base to allow for a pollution due to powergeneration with coal.....

Sorry, didn’t realize you were using a mod and needed live spawners.

Every time i try something like this, bugs ignore everything and just go straight for the belt. Even if there is no wall near it. I have no idea how you ppl do contraptions like this.

My belts are one tile below the range of the turrets.

so if a biter comes an want to destroy the pollution generating boilers behind the turret will fire at the biter so the biter will try (or so i think :twisted: ) to destroy the turret. but as the belt push them back, and guide them helpfully two times along all the turrets there is enough time to kill the biter.

I have problem with spitters not biters. I tried doing something like this and it works on biters but spitters just stop and start attacking the wall. And since i have Rampant and Natural Evolution Enemies there is unit launching spitter there and it results in infinite wave of biters because biter spawning spitter is always outside of the turret range. And even if it isn't turrets still target closest target first.

I play with some mods but nothing special for biters/spiters.
I dnk whats the influence of your mods is

may be you should try this without walls ?
thats the definitve reason why i worked with the belts instead of the walls. Belts seems not to count as defensive measures so the bites maybe ignore them.
