Is there any way to have a central location for save games? Is the steam workshop not available until it is out of early release?

Hi,

A central location like in %APPDATA%\Factorio\Saves ?
Concerning the Steam workshop, I think (but I might have missed something) that there is no Steam workshop integration announced so far.

Ok. Thank you for your response. I meant save games that other people create, for example if someone creates a cool factory, they throw it up on steam workshop and I can download it. Same could go for mods.

Mods are in the builtin mod portal (mods.factorio.com), but nothing for the savegames. You can look for in the forums though

I see. then no, there's nosu ch thing, and no such thing planned I'm aware of.
People wanting to share their save usually do it :
- Either when they want to showcase something, usually in the "Show your creations"
- Or in the course of a let's play video, in which case they can link it in the description of their vid.

Also, most of the time, it's just a part of the factory that's shared, in the form of a blueprint string.

You can also just join same random multiplayer games to get savefiles.
