This the basic version; i.e. the one to use before you have any red circuits. You can of course upgrade it with better tech. It's not the best, and it isn't even fully optimized, but I like it for some reason and I find myself using it more often than the other designs I've seen or made. I think it is because it is modular and easy to plunk down; whenever I need more red circuits I just build another one.

...Anyway, I hope it helps someone; just thought I would share.

If you put the plastic on the other side of the belt, then you can use that same belt to output your red circuits. Then just put a smart inserter at the end of that belt to collect the red circuits into a single box.

Good idea. I've used it like that before, and other various configurations, but I just got lazy since it gives you red circuits which give you Passive Requestor Chests, Logistic Bots, and Roboports ...so the configuration is basically for a logistic network not so much belt feeding ...but you can do either.

If you start the underground belt for the plastic one tile earlier you can place the splitter one tile to the right and have the copper/iron belt run straight so it stays at the same distance to the plastic belt.

Aww, but I like it looking like that :) ...but yeah, that would save space I guess.
