The motherland must expand!
I'm expending resources at an alarming rate.
The solution: grab huge tracts of land and expand my production. This isn't over until this entire planet surface looks like a circuit board.

How do you prevent new bases from spawining behind your wall?

I believe the sensors inhibit new spawners
Re: The motherland must expand!
New bitter bases do not spawn from nothing. A few bitters from one base will travel out and 'settle' a new base in an open area every so often. If your entire base is contained in walls, they cannot get in to settle.

Very impressive.
Also, I assume worms can tunnel underground to any location on the map. I don't know, however.

Re: The motherland must expand!
No, they have to walk. Also they don't settle too near to your buildings and only in a thin stripe around existing biter bases (3 chunks min distance, 6 chunks max distance, something like that)
I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Very Roman of you. I think Hadrian would be proud.

So beautiful.... *drools*
Do you have any pictures of the various sections of it? It's so big, I want to see what all it has!

Mother of...
That is some serious pollution!
You should put effectivity modules in everything, and the biters will never bother you again.
Also I've had games where I've surrounded huge areas with walls and bases have never popped up in them once I've cleared the whole area.

also, I'm mass producing speed and productivity modules. I'm saving 30% from mining, 20% from smelting, 40% from each component in resources, and it adds up. Signal transmitter's effects can stack, and I'm abusing this to make some oil wells run at >400% speed.

I think you can save around 1/3 of your poles

You seem to really like pollution >.>
Seems like you use tons of Steam engines But little to none Solar power, Or is it just tons of hours playing and the Little amount of steam engines/trains and other small stuff making the pollution
Other then that.. cool base. such nice defenses good luck surviving more

Re: The motherland must expand!
Little to no solar power? Have you checked this post by nosfereefer? That's a lot of solar power! However, sometimes "a lot" is not even close to "enough".

I'm running into brownouts atm, so i guess I'll be slapping solar panels + accumulators down en masse
