splitters-even distribution

I saw somewhere people were having a hard time getting splitters to split evenly, so I will post this picture. The one mistake I've done and seen is when trying to split a belt that the multiple splitters were connected to each other. If the goal is to evenly split, this is a simplistic design that splits 4/8/16 times. Sorry I'm not math worthy enough to figure in odd numbers into this setup though I'm sure some out there will have it figured out already. (on the 16, I used the *empty* splitters as spacers).

just a thought - if you were trying to do 3 or 7 even split, you could probably spin the "oddball" line back around to resupply.

OP - this is the problem people tend to run into. An Even number of belts is typically easy for most new players to get under their belt. The "odd number" splits become problematic. Like going from 3 belts to 7 belts. That's where this 4-4 splitter can be of huge help to the up and coming factorian. You can use as little or as many inputs as you want and no matter how many inputs you use, or which inputs you decide to use, they always come out evenly split among the four belts. And the outputs work the same way. You can just not use one of them and the three remaining belts will have an even split among them.

I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS DESIGN. Just trying to pass on knowledge!
