Hi,
I'd like to introduce Nucular into an existing Vanilla save, so I would have to spawn the Uranium ore fields. I do not want to respawn or regenerate the existing ore fields on the map.
Is it possible to (re)spawn ores of only a specific type?
How to (re-)spawn only specific resource?

I thought it was posted directly in gameplay/vanilla + sorry :Xsiggboy wrote:Hi,

But if memory serves it the ore should spawn in unloaded chunks meaning you might have to go searching for it and use trains.

Erm, this is a question specifically related to RSO. It is in precisely the correct location.
Any takers?

Re: How to (re-)spawn only specific resource?
It's currently not possible. Due to way the generation works it needs to generate all of them at once and whats more important in exactly same ore configuration.
Once you've added a new mod that adds new resource there is no way to recreate all already generated chunks since random results will be very different for them.
Only way now is to regen all and risk the chaos or go exploring to find new regions which can have the new resource spawn randomly in them.

Mining tools by binbinhfr has uranium dynamite that lets you spawn uranium.
It is a bit OP and is made for turtling,
Could be easily edited to only work for uranium and be a bit more expensive.

Re: How to (re-)spawn only specific resource?
Sounds like fun, but I think I'll simply explore some more territory and get the Uranium that way. I disabled biters so it's not an issue at all. If I get extremely unlucky I'll look for other options, like console hacks.sporefreak wrote:Mining tools by binbinhfr has uranium dynamite that lets you spawn uranium.

I recommend you MapLabels which shows a text at each ressource on map.
