[0.17.17] Large interface scaling can cause windows to not be fully painted

Post by Scratched »

If you have the interface scale up high enough that a window such as inventory has a greater dimension than the screen, it will be drawn aligned to the left screen edge and whatever it can't fit will be clipped off. When you move the window to see what's on the right hand side there's an 'unpainted' section with missing controls, and in the inventory screen clicking to change the item categories once fully on-screen doesn't cause that area to refresh or start fully painting.

This pic is at 200% scale to illustrate the point, but I first noticed it playing with my monitor in portrait mode at lower scaling.

Well, this is the reason why the default ui scale is automatic, as the minimum resolution for 100% scale is 1080p, so minimum resolution for 200% is 2080p.

Also, this screen will be different in the future, so there will be more reserve for ui scale.
