Just came on to report this, it's really annoying =/

I would prefer it not centre it at all, I scrolled there and that's where I want it to stay. Autoscrolling is usually disorienting especially when you're not used to the icons.

The left pane isn't meant to scroll at all. The center one (tree) is.

It's working for me in 0.15.3. Can you post a screenshot what it looks like before you click and how it looks like afterwards?
