At a certain point when all the techs are researched, lab industry becomes useless. Meanwhile, providing a balanced production of science packs is one of the core challenges.
Suggestion:
Make technologies that would endlessly improve certain stats in slight increments. Such improvements may need exponental supply of science packs to keep the player motivated in developing the research branch of the factory.

i like the idea of unlimited research becouse all mashines keeps runnung, there are only a few end products and a lot of them never be used just stored.
in fact we need more products that consumed frequently like science packs and ammo

I believe it was mentioned in friday facts that this will indeed become a feature in 0.15.

edit: I searched for it and it seems it is not a sure thing but they are considering it at least: https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-159

Personally though, I dont like it. I am used to having the game in two phases. First phase is when I have science in the factory, second phase is when I demolish everything after having researched everything and build a new factory where there is no need for any science. I like it that way.

I would suggest having infinite research as an option that I can toggle on or off.

I guess that is a good thing, even if it is not toggleable. I mean... nobody is going to actually *force* me to spend over 9000 science bottles to get 1% more turret damage. I can just stop researching any time I want :)
